I wanna really fulfill that childhood dream of mine (and many others) of being involved in the video games industry.
Hey!
My name's yam!
I'm looking to be a Valorant pro player.
I'm an 18 year old Canadian (east coast) with lots of experience in FPS games. I have over 1500 hours in CSGO, and hopped on Valorant as soon as beta released. I was able to translate my experience in CSGO to Valorant fairly easily, and am now extremely comfortable with the maps (gotta play Ascent a bit more though ngl). I got to Platinum 2 in the beta, and to be honest I think I could have gotten to Diamond, simply because the Platinum level games were not as challenging as I expected. I have developed a genuine passion for Valorant, and would like to look for any opportunity to get better and be involved with the Valorant eSports community.
For my play style, I really like strategics and thinking. I like to assume a leader position in most matches, usually with Sova or Brimstone (Sova for intel, Brimstone for smokes). As a leader, I still of course value my team's input. I like to think of myself as a kind of "middleman". If there is disagreement among the team, I try to get everyone on the same page and try to get everyone to cooperate. I try my best to do this in the least condescending and least annoying way possible. I take pride in my ability to keep my cool in even the most dire situations. I'm not saying I'm completely tilt proof or that I don't have my bad games (everyone does), but you will pretty much never catch me being toxic or mean to my teammates.
All that being said, I am a pretty reliable fragger, and the clutch gene is in me for sure.
for some clips of me playing, I have included a link to a YouTube video in the LINKS section.
